College of Microscopy Facility Rentals

The College of Microscopy, in addition to offering many of its own courses, seminars, and lectures, also offers its facilities for rent to outside organizations. Completed in 2006, the College of Microscopy’s 40,000 sq. ft. building offers state-of-the-art amenities, and is conveniently located in Westmont, IL, 20 miles west of Chicago’s Loop, and 20 minutes from both O’Hare International Airport and Midway Airport.

The Auditorium

Perfect for meetings, large lectures and seminars, training, and award ceremonies, the auditorium has a capacity of 141 people and offers an attractive stage area. Though moderate in capacity, the auditorium was constructed with an intimate feel and a range of modern amenities. The luxurious Figueras seats are all equipped with concealable tablets and power, and arranged in a semi-circular pattern for optimal viewing of the presenter as well as the retractable 8’ X 16’ screen for electronic presentations. The auditorium is equipped with a state-of-the-art audio/visual system, boasting a digital control enabled podium, three projectors (side-by-side display available), DVD/VHS, a document camera, video and audio conference systems, microphones, and hearing impaired systems. Wireless Internet service is also available throughout the auditorium and the entire facility. The auditorium is adjacent to an Atrium, which is suitable for pre-event gathering, and a 70-seat Café is also available for rental with catered food service.

Conference/Class/Meeting Rooms

A number of smaller rooms are also available which can accommodate groups ranging from 10 to 40 people. These rooms can be configured for several different purposes and are available with many of the same modern audio/visual technologies available in the auditorium.
